Counting down the days...

Well here I sit in my bunker, less than 7 days from the start of Lee Gwan action.

Anticipation is high, with the boys in blue having impressed in pre-season friendlies. They've looked fit, sharp and up for the challenge for the most part.

No clean sheets, but we've looked really good going forward, with Fatty Fryupp banging in the goals and cult-hero-already Max Gradel jinking down the right to great effect.

I missed the Palace game today (1-1), as I had a big night out in Leeds last night and was never going to make it. From all accounts we dominated proceedings against a top six Championship side, apart from the 5 minutes immediately after their goal.

Nigel Pearson was not a popular appointment, but through his no nonsense demeanor and results so far (only pre-season mind!), he is already winning the fans over. His charges look super fit, and they seem to have a real purpose on the pitch. There actually appear to be solid tactics in place, and the players know their roles, a far cry already from the bewildering "strategies" employed by the Hollowhead.

All will come to naught though, if we can't get the job done against the MK Dons first up at the Walkers next Saturday. Expectations are high for the Lesta's first ever season in the third tier, and we need to start cranking out the wins straight away.

Come on you Blues!

Only one question remains: wherefor art though, Sergio Hellings?
